Here are all the dates for your diary for the next quarter; from volunteering dates, to activities from organisations around the reservoir, to our first ever Annual General Meeting!
Walk The Resa
After the maiden event in June was rained off, July's Walk the Resa with Lorraine was a great success (picture above). This will continue through August and September on the first Sunday of the month. 10-11 for the walk, and around 11ish for tea/coffee and cake. Meet for either or both at Scotland Lane Picnic Area.
1hr Litter Pick
Our 1hr monthly litter picks continue each month on the second Saturday of the month, 9.30-10.30. Help us in our mission to clear Bromwich Wood/Bluebell Wood of historical rubbish. Were about two-thirds of the way there! Check our facebook page closer to the time for meeting points.
Pave the Way
Our first pathway clearance event took place in June to work on the pathway running along the back of Bromwich Wood and alongside Kitwell Playing Field. It was hard work, but we broke the back of the hardest part of the pathway - we hope! The next event to continue the work is on Saturday June 16th, 10-12. Meeting where Marywell Close meets the back of the woods.
Opendorz Family Fun Day
A family fun day on August 1st, 12-3 at Newman University.Family fun filled today with games, entertainment, and light refreshment.
Talking Benches & Walking Tour
As discussed in the 'success' and 'volunteering' sections our Talking Benches and Walking Tour events, linked to our Commonwealth Games funding for benches and signposts, will take place at the end of August/beginning of September. Watch out on social media for details.
FOBR Annual General Meeting
Our first AGM! So many achievements to reflect on and we will also confirm our 10 year plan for the reservoir going forward. Members will be invited to join for this informal and celebratory get together. Date and venue to be confirmed. Watch out on social media for details.
